----Trip to Bordeaux accompanied by Philippe CASTEJA the president of the Conseil de Grands Crus Classés 1855
As invited by BORIE-MANOUX Group we conducted a business trip and negotiation to Bordeaux in Oct, 2011.We paid a visit to 40 Chateaus such as: Laffite Rothschild, Latour, Margaux and Mouton Rothschild etc. In order to control the source of the industry we singed the special cooperative agreements with 14 domaines and became a strategic partner with them.We established a good business relationship with Mr. Philippe CASTEJA after the trip and have a steady source of the grands crus Classes wines. in order to get a smoother communication with the negociants we are planning to establish an office in Bordeaux in 2012 and our excellent distributors will have chance to vist and study in France.
When speaking of the Bordeaux, We will come up with the hundred of chateaus and appellations lies around the banks of Gironde river. Those landmark Chateaus which built several centries ago has became the selling point of French wines. Most of the world famous Chateaus are located in here which producing the good quality and big volume wines. It is our great honor to have Mr. Philippe CASTEJA as a guide during our visit to France. We do not only visit the Chateau Laffite, Latour, Margaux, Batailley and Lynch-Moussas more directly but also pick the good Bordeaux wines suit for Chinese customers.
Our trip started with the Grands Crus Classés 1855.Their scale and instrument is too in low key comparing with the big names of Chateaus of Laffite,Latour and Margaux .The plain buildings without any decoration on the gate only with some simple mark or pictures. But we are deeply shocked by it’s full respect to the vins and nature and it’s profession of the wine-making technique. We are aware of that each core workshop of the Chateaus not only equips the stainless fermentation Barrels but also kept the original stone fermentation pool and expensive oak barrels. Beside this, each Chateau has a mystical “holly land”, only the senior supervisor has the key to the cellar where the precise wines with old vintages are kept.We enven saw the wine made in 1881,We were immediately shocked and show our respect to those antique.
Regarding to wines selection,Mr. Philippe CASTEJA recommended some small Chateaus in Graves to us. The strict traditional vinification and outstanding weather and land makes those small Chateau unique and full of aristocratic style.Mr. CASTEJA told us there are thousands of grape varieties in the world and each one has its own feature and easy to identify. But only tens of them has the noble blood and can make the great wines. The cabernet sauvignon is one of them and it is the basic variety of Grands Crus Classés 1855.In Margaux,Latour,Laffite and Mounton ,The Cabernet Sauvignon takes 70% of the area and same as other chateau. The Merlot is the best mate of the Cabernet Sauvignon during the blending.
We drank or spouted countless wines in 10 days. And finally we picked the new wine of Beaute Millenaire 2012—GRAVES red wine under the recommendation of Mr. CASTEJA.This wine comes from the neighborhood of the Chateau Haut-Brion.It was made of the most representative varieties :Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot,The unique nature and land makes the wine perfect .The brown heavy bottle with origin Oak cork , unique serial number and the signature of the owner of the chateau and enologist on each bottle symbolized its noble ID.It has high value of tastes and collection. We picked others wines afterwards and each of them are well selected for our customer. The wine pickers of Beaute Millenaire make up their mind to bring the unique Bordeaux styles to China with each bottle of the wine.
We finished our trip in the aroma of the great wines and pretty eager to share the new wine with all the wine lovers. We can’t say them are the best wine in Bordeaux but they are the most representative of Bordeaux philosophy and worthy for tastes and collection.
